When you are in the rental business the weather is very important.
The problem is that you can’t do much about it. Then again, … that is not entirely true.
July 2006 was extremely hot. Several days we measured more than 36 degrees C.
People sit in the shade or stay in the house. They do not want to do anything but read and have a cold drink now and then.
Well for us this meant: check the fridges! We installed an extra freezer in 3 houses. Another thing was/is to supply some books and old magazines.

Even more important is a bad weather program. Early or late in the year you would expect some rain now and then.
Not in August though. Anyway we have had a terrible month so far. (…)
This again meant to supply some books and old magazines. And DVD’s. We have taken some of our private collection.
Lots of people already asked us about the wine tasting possibilities. Fills another rainy afternoon or day and is fun.
We will start this in September in the farm le Grand Soleil. Then it will be possible on short notice. It is encouraging though that there already is so much interest.
The sun is shining right now. Only 20 degrees, but we shouldn’t complain too much.
Our bicycles and feet feel it is their turn now.
